FAQ

Can I buy tickets on the telephone?
Afraid not. If you’re unable to book online a selection of tickets are available from the Hertford Tourist Information Centre

Do you offer refunds if we can no longer attend?
Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for our tickets, however we have partnered with TicketSwap as our official ticket reseller. Selling tickets anywhere other than Ticketswap is strongly discouraged. If you are experiencing issues selling your tickets, please reach out to the TicketSwap support team.

Do you have a waiting/returns list for sold out shows?
Nope. Your best bet will be to check on Ticketswap (who are an ethical Fan to Fan Ticket Re-sale site). Please be vigilant if you see someone offering tickets for sale on social media, sadly there are a lot of scammers out there.

Lost Ticket
If you have lost or not received your e-ticket but you know you definitely did buy one then please don’t panic.  We can check your name from a form of ID against our list on the night.  If you still need some reassurance, then email us here.  Everything is going to be ok.

For other requests please email Ticketweb (our ticket vendor on the website).

My band would like to play at The Horn, St Albans and Corn Exchange, Hertford, who do I speak to?
Please email info@thehorn.co.uk with all your details and links relevant sites or complete the form below. Please don’t attach files unless requested – links are the way forward. Please feel free to send in CD’s in the post, we don’t have a CD player but they make great coasters.

What are our opening hours?
Sunday to Thursday > Closes Midnight.
Friday & Saturday > Closes 2am.

How do I get there?
If you are coming by train, we are no more than 10 minutes walk away from ether of Hertford’s Train Stations. There are also buses that stop regularly just outside the venue. If you come by car, we advise the use of a satellite navigation system. They are very useful. Our postcode is SG14 1AL.

Is Corn Exchange an accessible venue?
Please read all our info on accessibility here

Can I do work experience with you?
Yes – please get in touch by email

Can I take photos of bands at the Corn Exchange?
Ticket-holders are welcome to bring their own cameras to take photos of local shows.

To take photos of touring bands you will need to contact their PR and request press list – this isn't something we can help with.

What’s the capacity?
The venue room has a capacity of 250 standing, and 150 seated.

I left something, can I come and collect it?
Of course – please call or email first.

I am a promoter and I want to put on a night, how do I go about this?
Please send us an email with what you would like to do at the venue. We would be keen to know what you have done previously and see some links to those nights. Please understand that we would love to work with everyone, but we need to make sure that it’s going to be a good show.

What equipment can the Corn Exchange provide?

We will provide bands with the PA, mics and stands that would be required. We have a number of DIs but sometimes its not enough. If you believe you are going to require more, please notify us beforehand. Here’s a link to our current tech sheet - click here

All bands will need to ensure they bring their own backline, unless they have agreed anything in advance. We do not have a drumkit to lend. If you have a show coming up, we will arrange for an advancing chat to be created using Facebook messages so that this can be discussed with other acts booked on the night.

Where can I park to load into the venue?

There are short term load in bays situated along Fore Street, which you can use to load in through the main entrance. Sadly, you can’t park here once you’ve loaded in. However there are car-parks a short walking distance you can park.
